Privacy Notice

This website is designed for board-level context and structured intake across Canada–Mexico. We collect limited personal information only to respond, route your inquiry appropriately, and coordinate next steps—without creating any legal engagement.

Effective: 2025-12-01

Editorial framing

Cross-border structures fail when control is assumed but not demonstrable. Symbiosis is designed to protect the process by keeping intake and information handling narrowly scoped, consent-based, and defensible—routing corporate/fiduciary matters separately from personal premium matters.

Important: Do not include confidential, sensitive, or privileged information. Messages submitted through this website do not constitute legal advice and do not create a solicitor–client relationship.

For access/correction requests, use the contact form and select Type of engagement: “Not sure — request guidance”, then start your message with “Privacy/Access Request”.

What we collect (high level)

  • Information you voluntarily provide (e.g., name, email address, country of residence, organisational affiliation, and a brief description of your inquiry).
  • Basic technical information required to operate the site securely (e.g., server logs), consistent with standard hosting and security practices.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your personal information for unrelated purposes, behavioural profiling, or advertising.

Information collection and use

We collect only the personal information you voluntarily choose to provide through this website (such as your name, email address, country of residence, organisational affiliation, and a brief description of your inquiry).

This information is collected and used exclusively to:

  • Respond to your message and, where appropriate, coordinate next steps (e.g., clarification, redirection, or a proposed call).
  • Route and qualify inquiries by type, including separation between corporate/fiduciary matters (including, where applicable, CDD™-type intake) and personal premium individual matters.
  • Perform an initial high-level assessment of whether the inquiry may involve cross-border governance, authority traceability, regulatory exposure, or fiduciary oversight considerations within Canada–Mexico structures.
  • Determine relevance to Symbiosis advisory, facilitation, or diagnostic frameworks (including, where applicable, the Control Demonstrability Diagnostic — CDD™) without creating any engagement obligation.

We do not use personal information for unrelated purposes, behavioural profiling, or advertising, and we do not sell personal data.

Cookies and tracking

We use strictly necessary/functional cookies (for example, to control the display frequency of on-site pop-ups and to support essential site functionality).

We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this notice and obtain any required consent.

Service providers and international transfers

We may use third-party service providers to operate this website and communications (for example, hosting, email delivery, form processing, spam protection, or security tools). These providers may process information on our behalf strictly for the purposes described in this notice.

Your information may be processed or stored outside your province or country, depending on where service providers operate. We take reasonable measures to ensure personal information is protected against unauthorised access, disclosure, or misuse.

Data security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we handle. This may include access controls, encryption where appropriate, and secure operational practices with service providers.

Retention

We retain inquiry records only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes stated above or as required by applicable law, after which we securely delete or anonymise them.

Your rights (access and correction)

Under PIPEDA, you may request access to, or correction of, your personal information. To exercise these rights, please use our contact form and include the phrase “Privacy/Access Request” at the start of your message.

Please do not include information beyond what the form requests; if additional details are needed to verify your identity, we will ask. We aim to respond within 30 days.

No legal advice / no engagement

The content on this website is for general informational and communication purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice or counsel and does not create a solicitor–client relationship.

Submitting a message through this website does not create an engagement, does not create any fee obligation, and does not bind Symbiosis to accept a mandate.

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
